Lab Coat and Hand Towel Rental

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide lab coat and hand towel rental services to the Department for Public Health (DPH) Laboratory. The DPH Lab performs unique reference testing, technical consultations, and establishes standards for quality clinical laboratory services in support of the Commonwealth’s commitment to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of the public. The vendor will provide weekly pick-up/drop-off services for lab coats, hand towels, and bath towels to 100 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, KY. The vendor shall also provide appropriate laundry hamper(s), laundry bag(s), and hanging racks at no extra cost to the Commonwealth. • The lab coats must meet the standard for exposure to blood borne pathogens as required by 29 CFR 1910.1030. • The vendor must be able to provide weekly deliveries and pick up services. • The vendor must be able to provide replacement coats and/or repairs for items through normal wear at no additional charge. • The Commonwealth agrees to pay replacement charges for lost, stolen or destroyed garments by outright neglect, acid, fire, and paint. • All garments shall be cleaned and maintained by the vendor.
