Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide durable medical equipment (DME) services to Veteran beneficiaries in the VISN 4 West area. The contractor will be responsible for delivering, installing, setting up, and repairing DME equipment in the beneficiaries' homes. The contractor must meet Joint Commission standards and provide education and training to beneficiaries on the use of the equipment. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with the option to renew.
• The contractor must have experience in providing DME services to a large population of beneficiaries.
• The contractor must have a comprehensive inventory management system to track and manage DME equipment.
• The contractor must have a robust quality control process to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
• The contractor must have a system in place to provide education and training to beneficiaries on the use of the equipment.
• The contractor must have a plan in place to handle emergencies and provide 24/7 support to beneficiaries.
