Description

The Town of Weymouth is seeking a qualified vendor to design, supply, install, and execute the annual 3rd‑of‑July fireworks display on Wessagusset Beach. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the event, including procurement of fireworks and pyrotechnic equipment, safety and regulatory compliance, launch operations, crowd control coordination with local authorities, and post‑event cleanup. The work must be completed on the designated holiday date, with all preparations finalized prior to the display. • Provide a complete fireworks program meeting state and local safety regulations. • Supply, transport, set‑up, and safely fire the pyrotechnic devices. • Coordinate with the Town’s public safety officials for crowd and traffic management, and handle all post‑event disposal and site restoration.

Budget estimate

$20,000 – $100,000

The town’s fireworks budget is typically modest but must cover high‑quality pyrotechnics, safety personnel, permits, and cleanup. Based on comparable municipal fireworks contracts, a reasonable estimate ranges from $20,000 for a basic display up to $100,000 for a more elaborate show with larger shells and extensive safety measures. Factors influencing the final amount include the number and size of fireworks, required safety distances, insurance costs, and any additional entertainment or lighting effects.
