Description
The Washington State Convention Center is seeking a General Contractor to construct a new tasting kitchen. The project includes demolition, installation of new interior finishes, and full build-out of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. The selected contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the design team and building operations staff throughout the project lifecycle. The project is located at the Seattle Convention Center, 705 Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98101.
Some key features of the project include:
* Demolition of non-structural glazed storefront panels and single door
* Installation of new fixed glazed panels and glazed double sliding door
* New non-structural partitions, fireplace insert, and exterior casework
* Installation of new interior casework, ceiling assembly, finishes, and hospitality food plating equipment
* Coordination with other trades having work in the ceiling and telephone and data cable companies
The project requires compliance with various codes and regulations, including the 2021 Seattle Building Code, 2021 Seattle Existing Building Code, and 2021 International Fire Code.
