Description
The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking a design‑build‑install contractor to replace the drive‑head assemblies on two 45‑ft clarifiers at the Sobrante Water Treatment Plant’s Maloney Pumping Plant. The scope includes removal of existing equipment, engineering, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, operator training, documentation, and a five‑year warranty. The project must be performed primarily during the plant’s annual outage (December‑February) and comply with extensive safety, environmental, and security requirements.
• Provide a complete clarifier‑drive package (motor, gear reducers, turntable, overload protection, chain/sprockets, structural adapters, lubrication system, corrosion‑resistant coating).
• Remove and responsibly dispose of existing drive assemblies; modify structures as needed.
• Deliver factory acceptance testing, field functional and performance testing, a seven‑day operational start‑up, training sessions, O&M manuals, and a five‑year warranty.
• Meet technical specs: ≥ 60,000 lb‑ft continuous torque, 78.4 RPM output speed, ≤ 95 dBA noise, IEEE‑841 motor, and full Cal/OSHA compliance.
