On-call Medium and Low Voltage Electrical Services

The City of Raleigh is seeking a qualified, licensed electrical contractor to provide on-call services for repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of existing electrical systems across various municipal facilities for up to 5 years. The services include water and wastewater treatment plants, remote pump stations, odor control sites, and water storage facilities. The contractor must demonstrate expertise in a range of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, instrumentation, underground utilities, and compressors. The contractor will be required to provide a written estimate for each job, itemizing labor, materials, and any special equipment or rentals prior to commencement. A separate purchase order will be issued for each task. The City does not guarantee a minimum dollar amount or volume of work under this contract. • The contractor must respond to emergency service requests within two hours and to non-emergency requests within twenty-four hours. • The contractor must provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, testing instruments, materials, transportation, and supervision to perform electrical work in compliance with applicable codes and standards. • The contractor must coordinate with City staff to ensure safety and operational continuity. • The contractor must adhere to current wiring standards and include proper labeling of systems and components. • The contractor must provide education and training to all contractors' employees before they are exposed to potential workplace or other hazards as required by specific OSHA Standards.
