Energy dispersive micro-focusing X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (μEDXRF) with poly-capillary optics

The Department of the Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for an energy-dispersive micro-focusing X-ray fluorescence spectrometer with poly-capillary optics. The spectrometer will be used for nondestructive spectral mapping and must detect all elements from Carbon to Uranium with sufficient resolution, sensitivity, accuracy, precision, and reproducibility. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing, shipping, assembling, installing, verifying, calibrating, testing, and training of the spectrometer. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, parts, personal protective equipment, transportation, shipping, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the requirements. • Meeting the qualification requirements outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). • Providing basic operational training for all equipment/software supplied to Tinker Air Force Base (AFB). • Utilizing a firm-fixed price contract. • Meeting the requirements for chemical analysis of metals and other materials used in the Department of the Air Force aircraft and jet engines.
