Description
The Louisiana Department of Health, Office of Public Health is seeking information from vendors to assess the state's Immunization Information System (IIS). The goal is to modernize the IIS, improve data quality, and advance the system towards national certification standards. The vendor will be required to provide an independent assessment of the current IIS, develop a plan for modernization, and provide technical assistance during implementation. The project involves multiple components, including IIS assessment, implementation planning, and technical assistance. The ideal vendor will have experience with IIS operations, assessment, and implementation, as well as knowledge of national IIS standards and best practices.
Some key aspects of the project include:
• Assessing the current IIS functionality, capacity, data quality, and management
• Developing a plan for modernization, including prioritized recommendations for IIS workforce, technology, data quality, and data management
• Providing technical assistance during implementation, including support for vendor meetings and email communications
• Aligning the IIS with national standards and certification efforts endorsed by the CDC
