Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, is seeking to purchase annual boiler inspection, maintenance, and testing services. The contractor shall provide boiler inspections, testing, and maintenance by qualified technicians on various boilers within the Boiler Plant and Mental Health Clinic. The contractor shall furnish all labor, travel, equipment, supplies, and materials required to perform annual inspection, testing, and maintenance of boilers. The contract period will be for a base year with the possibility of four one-year options.
Some key responsibilities include:
• Performing boiler fireside and waterside visual inspections
• Inspecting and testing boiler components, such as safety valves and controls
• Providing repair contingency fund services
• Performing semi-annual calibration and preventative maintenance services
• Testing and calibrating boiler plant instruments and equipment
The contractor must have experience conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance on boilers from various manufacturers, including Trane-Murray, Cleaver Brooks, Fulton, and Lochinvar.
