Description
The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) is seeking information from potential contractors to provide reference laboratory testing services. The contractor will be responsible for providing a full range of referral laboratory services, including patient testing, specimen processing, courier services, and interface with the current VA Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) systems. The contract will have a base year and four one-year option periods. The contractor must have all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications to perform the required services.
Some key features of the job include:
* Providing reference laboratory testing services to CTVHCS facilities
* Ensuring accurate and timely performance of laboratory testing services
* Providing customer service and support to Government staff
* Maintaining a record keeping system for all tests performed
* Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to patient confidentiality and information security
* Cooperating with the Government in any investigation or litigation related to the contract
