Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, San Diego VA Healthcare System, is seeking sources for a service contract to provide temporary rental operators for a boiler at the Central Utilities Plant. The contractor will be required to provide experienced boiler operators to ensure a continuous 24/7 on-site presence. The scope of work includes monitoring and operating the temporary rental boiler, performing routine maintenance, and responding to emergencies. The contractor must also provide documentation, including calibration reports and electronic copies of the PLC program and HMI database.
Some key responsibilities of the contractor include:
• Providing one operator per shift to ensure complete coverage
• Monitoring and operating the temporary rental boiler
• Performing routine maintenance, including daily logs and preventative maintenance
• Responding to emergencies
• Providing safety meetings and lockout procedures
