Description
The Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department is seeking bids for a two-year contract for truck rental, including operator and fuel, for the Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works – All Divisions. The contract will require the rental of various trucks, trailers, and excavators with operators and fuel for use by all departments of Jefferson Parish. The contractor must be able to respond and be on site within two hours of initial call-out and must comply with all federal, state, and local codes and safety standards.
• The contract will be for a period of two years.
• The contractor must be able to supply all units on a one-day notice and a minimum of two-hour notice for listed available equipment.
• The contractor shall give all required notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations necessary to accomplish the work.
• The contractor shall be responsible for his operator's submittal of each rented unit's daily work sheet.
• The contractor must provide and continuously maintain all required insurance coverages, including worker's compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability.
