Description
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is seeking a vendor to provide virtual interpretation services for six upcoming virtual meetings. The purpose of this assignment is to provide consultant support for language access during public engagement activities during the 2027-2031 Capital Investment Plan (CIP) cycle. The scope of work includes logistical activities, such as confirming interpretation and translation expectations with MassDOT, organizing and securing interpretation services for CIP, and live interpretation at virtual public informational meetings.
• The vendor will be required to provide interpretation services for identified languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, and Russian.
• The vendor will be required to attend virtual public meetings and provide live interpretation for a minimum of 15 minutes before the meeting starts.
• The vendor will be required to provide an outline of planned language access needs and services for the 2027-2031 CIP cycle, including associated languages that may be provided for them.
• The vendor will be required to procure vendors providing interpretation services for identified languages.
