The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking a contractor to provide Total Tissue Sample RNA Isolation, mRNA Library Preparation, Sequencing, and Bioinformatic Processing/Analysis services. The contractor will be required to perform total RNA extraction and quality control from 256 rat brain tissue samples, mRNA library preparation, sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis. The data generated will be used to support scientific research. The contractor must provide a full and detailed report of the methods used, suitable for publication, and results for all assays must be delivered via email as an Excel or delimited text file.
• Total RNA extraction and quality control from 256 rat brain tissue samples
• mRNA library preparation using PolyA enrichment or comparable strategy
• Sequencing at 15-30 million paired-end 50-150 bp reads
• Bioinformatic analysis including raw data quality control, genome alignment, quality control, and quantification
• Differential expression analysis allowing for comparison between groups
• Functional enrichment analysis
