DRC260023 SOUTHERN OHIO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY ISLAMIC CONTRACT CHAPLAIN

The Southern Ohio Correctional Facility is seeking an Islamic Contract Chaplain to provide Islamic religious services. The selected candidate will be required to provide a copy of their Certificate of Licensure and/or Ordination, a Letter of Endorsement from their local congregation or denomination, Clinical Pastoral Education Credits (if obtained), and a resume with supporting documents. The chaplain will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance and support to Muslim inmates. Key responsibilities may include leading Islamic worship services, providing counseling and spiritual guidance, and facilitating religious education programs. • Provide Islamic religious services to inmates • Lead Islamic worship services and provide spiritual guidance • Facilitate religious education programs and provide counseling services • Collaborate with other chaplains and facility staff to promote a supportive and inclusive environment • Develop and implement programs to meet the spiritual needs of Muslim inmates
