Electronic Payment Services for Patient Billing

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide electronic payment services for patient billing. The solution must support payment processing across multiple channels, including web, mobile, automated voice response, and in-person transactions. It must seamlessly integrate with Epic MyChart, support automated payment posting, and enable daily reconciliation. The successful proposer will be selected based on the most advantageous proposal, considering factors such as cost, reputation, quality of services, and extent to which the services meet the university's needs. • The university processes approximately 60,000 healthcare payments monthly via Epic MyChart and other payment methods. • The proposed solution must support direct integration with Frost Bank or provide compatible data formats for posting into the Epic EHR system. • The university requires the ability to electronically post all payments into Epic, either directly from the awarded vendor or through the financial institution (Frost Bank). • There are currently 183 billing locations within the UT Health system that will utilize the electronic billing services outlined in this RFP.
