Intercity Bus Service in the State of Florida

The Florida Department of Transportation is announcing the availability of funding to support intercity bus service in Florida. The service must make meaningful connections with scheduled intercity bus service to more distant points and maintain schedule information in the National Official Bus Guide. To be eligible, the provider must be a private company that has operated defined intercity bus service in the state for a minimum of two years. Priority will be given to projects that connect rural communities to urban centers. • The funding is for intercity bus service in Florida. • The provider must be a private company with at least two years of experience in operating intercity bus service in the state. • The service must make meaningful connections with scheduled intercity bus service to more distant points. • The provider must maintain schedule information in the National Official Bus Guide. • Grant applications must be received no later than 5:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2026.
