Description
The Iowa City VA Health Care System requires a 5-year firm fixed priced contract for maintenance and repair of three chillers and associated equipment. The contractor will perform operating inspections, routine operating inspections, annual preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance. The contract includes a base year and four option years, with a period of performance from 04/01/2026 to 03/31/2031. The contractor must adhere to various standards, design manuals, and regulations, including VHA Directive 1061 and Cooling Tower Water Systems – ES-2019-001.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs
• Providing operating inspection and routine operating inspections
• Conducting annual preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance
• Maintaining the chillers in a serviceable condition
• Providing emergency service calls within 4 hours of notification
• Submitting reports and documentation, including maintenance/inspection reports and refrigerant usage reports
