Description

The City of Madeira Beach is seeking proposals from qualified fireworks production companies to provide multiple fireworks displays for City-sponsored events throughout 2026. The scope of work includes the supply, delivery, set-up, firing, breakdown, and disposal of all fireworks materials. The City has identified three display dates with corresponding budgets: May 1, 2026 ($5,000), July 3 and 4, 2026 ($35,000), and December 11, 2026 ($5,000). Proposers are encouraged to submit displays that maximize visual impact and overall value within the identified budgets. Key considerations include display length, variety, and safety requirements. • The City prefers barge-based firing for the Independence Day displays, but land-based options are also acceptable if safety requirements can be met. • Proposers must include detailed terms for cancellation and/or rescheduling of each fireworks display. • The City requires a minimum fallout zone of 190 feet for pier-based displays and 350 feet for land-based displays. • Barge-based displays require a minimum fallout zone of 700 feet.

Budget estimate

$40,000 – $50,000

Based on the provided budgets for each display date, the total estimated budget for the contract is $45,000. This estimate is influenced by the City's identified budgets for each display and the assumption that the selected proposer will be responsible for all costs associated with the fireworks displays, including supply, delivery, set-up, firing, breakdown, and disposal of materials.
