R&P - Sponsorship Solicitation & Management

The City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is seeking a qualified agency to design, solicit, and manage sponsorship packages for its extensive network of parks, facilities, programs, and events. The agency will create custom sponsorship tiers, engage potential sponsors, secure agreements, and ensure all sponsor benefits are delivered in accordance with department policies. The work includes ongoing reporting, coordination with department staff, and compliance with restrictions on prohibited sponsor categories. The contract will be awarded to the most responsive and qualified proposer, with preference given to local (Columbus) or Ohio‑based firms. • Identify and target local, regional, and national businesses for sponsorship opportunities. • Develop tiered sponsorship packages aligned with department programming and facilities. • Conduct outreach, presentations, and negotiations to secure sponsor commitments. • Manage fulfillment of sponsor benefits (branding, signage, promotional rights, etc.). • Provide regular status reports and performance metrics to the department. • Submit a detailed financial proposal (fees, commission structures, retainer, etc.). • Deliver a comprehensive project timeline with milestones.
