WATER DISTRIBUTION SMALL DIAMETER ASSET REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT JOB ORDER CONTRACT CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND INSPECTION SUPPORT ON-CALL SERVICES

The City of Phoenix is seeking qualified consultants to provide construction administration and inspection on-call services for the Water Distribution Asset Repair and Replacement Job Order Contract Program. The selected consultants will be required to perform tasks such as overseeing water main repairs, removing and replacing water valves and air-relief valves, assessing repair needs, and preparing job sites for repairs. The consultants should possess extensive knowledge and experience in distribution water infrastructure and be familiar with MAG Specifications and Details, the City of Phoenix Supplement to MAG Specifications and Details, and the Water Services Department Design Guidelines. • Construction administration and inspection services for water distribution assets • Design services for water distribution assets • Project management and coordination with other City departments and agencies • Public information and public relations services • Familiarity with UNIFIER, an Application Service Provider (ASP) web-based project management database • Experience with critical decision making in the field, including waterline shutdowns and customer notification • Knowledge of MAG Specification, City Supplements, City Detail, and Design Guidelines • Ability to reconcile bid items and time and material work
