Sole Source Contract for South Carolina 250 State Fair Exhibit Maintenance and Repairs

The South Carolina 250 Commission intends to enter into a sole source contract with Mythical Creatures for the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of the South Carolina 250 State Fair exhibit. The scope of work includes updates to existing interpretive panels and graphics, replacement and repair of flooring, scenic, and structural elements, lighting and display upgrades, and the addition of new interpretive components. The goal is to preserve the exhibit's integrity, improve durability, ensure accuracy, and enhance the overall visitor experience. • The contract amount is $200,000.00. • The work is necessary to preserve the functionality, safety, accuracy, and presentation quality of the exhibit. • Mythical Creatures was selected due to their unique familiarity with the exhibit's design and fabrication. • The procurement supports responsible stewardship of public funds by maintaining the integrity of a significant prior investment.
