Charleston County is seeking a turnkey backup Call Handling Equipment (CHE) solution to ensure continuous 9‑1‑1 dispatch operations in the event of primary system failure. The contract will require a vendor with proven experience in failover and redundancy systems to design, supply, install, test, and support backup equipment that integrates seamlessly with the existing dispatch center infrastructure. The solution must meet public safety standards, provide reliable voice and data handling, and include training for county personnel. • Deliver a fully functional backup CHE system that can assume full dispatch operations instantly upon primary system outage. • Provide installation, configuration, testing, and certification of the backup equipment. • Offer ongoing maintenance, warranty support, and training for county staff. • Ensure compliance with all applicable public safety communication standards and interoperability requirements.
