Bicycle and Electric Bicycle Towing and Storage Services

The City of Lake Forest is seeking a qualified vendor to provide towing and storage services for bicycles and electric bicycles that have been found in violation of the Lake Forest Municipal Code and/or the California Vehicle Code. The contractor will be responsible for all phases of call response, towing, storage, and release of electric bicycles. The services will be provided on an on-call, as-needed basis, and the contractor will collect all fees associated with towing and storage from individuals who have had their electric bicycles towed. The contract is expected to be awarded for a term of three years, with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms. Some key requirements for the contractor include: * Providing towing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week * Maintaining a physical location with a secure, enclosed area for bicycle and e-bike storage * Ensuring that all tow truck operators are at least 18 years old and possess a valid California Tow Truck Driver Certification and Driver's Licenses * Maintaining sufficient numbers of vehicles to provide service to the City * Providing a 24-hour dispatch number that can be reached by City and/or OCSD staff for towing requests.
