Orlando Police Department Forensic Towing & Recovery Services

The City of Orlando is soliciting proposals for Orlando Police Department Forensic Towing, Storage and Recovery Services. The services include towing, storage, and recovery of vehicles for the Orlando Police Department. The contractor will be required to provide 24/7 services, including forensic tows, recovery, and storage. The contractor must have a minimum of three years of experience in the towing and recovery business and must have the necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services. The contract will be for a three-year term, with the option to extend for an additional three years. Key services include: • Vehicle storage for vehicles held over thirty days • Water recovery for vehicles completely submerged • Hazardous material cleanup • Extraordinary situations, such as vehicles hanging over the edge of a bridge or overturned semi-truck/trailer with lost load blocking multiple lanes of traffic • Innocent owner (victim) tows • Forensic tows, including towing vehicles without contaminating evidence The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including Florida Statutes and City of Orlando codes.
