Request for Expression of Interest - Medical Assistance Wheelchair Van Transportation Services

The Cecil County Health Department is seeking qualified providers to offer Wheelchair Van transportation services to Medical Assistance Program clients and other Health Department clients. The services will be reimbursed on a flat-rate basis plus a per-passenger-mile rate. The fixed reimbursement rates are $80.00 plus $8.50 per passenger mile. Providers must comply with all local, state, and federal statutes and regulations, have all required licenses, and prohibit their drivers from smoking in the vehicles when transporting clients. • The program provides transportation services to Medical Assistance recipients and certain other Health Department clients who request non-emergency transportation to medical services covered by Medical Assistance. • Providers must submit an Expression of Interest Form, which includes company information, vehicle information, and any limitations to services. • Contracts will be subject to three one-year renewals. • Minority business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. • Bidders will be required to furnish proof of insurance, bodily injury liability, and property damage liability with this Request for Expression of Interest.
