RFP Medicare Cost Report

The Oregon Health Authority is seeking a qualified Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm to provide Medicare Cost Reporting services. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing and submitting annual Medicare cost reports, providing training on the cost reporting process, and performing settlement audit review services. The firm must have experience in preparing annual Medicare cost reports for freestanding psychiatric hospitals and must have proprietary software or system capabilities to prepare and submit the Medicare cost report using the standardized electronic cost reporting (ECR) format. The contract is expected to be for a term of 5 years, with options to renew up to 10 years, and a maximum compensation of $249,999. • The firm must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing annual Medicare cost reports for freestanding psychiatric hospitals. • The firm must have proprietary software or system capabilities to prepare and submit the Medicare cost report using the standardized electronic cost reporting (ECR) format. • The firm must provide training on the cost reporting process, worksheets, and its underlying data to key OSH staff. • The firm must perform settlement audit review services on an as-needed basis. • The firm must have a certified public accountant (CPA) review and sign the annual Medicare cost report.
