Air Handler Replacements - York and Gardiner Maintenance Facilities Mile 6.8 and Mile 101.8

The contract is for the replacement of air handlers at the York and Gardiner Maintenance Facilities, including the installation of new air handling units, duct furnaces, and exterior condensing units. The work includes all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as well as all cutting, patching, finish work incidental thereto. The contract is governed by the Maine Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Revision of November 2014, and the Maine Turnpike Supplemental Specifications. The contract includes a wage determination for laborers and workers employed on the project, and the contractor must comply with all OSHA regulations and obtain all necessary permits. • The contract includes the replacement of two air handlers with LP gas furnaces, two duct mounted Dx cooling coils, and two exterior condensing units complete with controls at the York Maintenance Facility. • The contract includes the addition of an electric resistance duct coil for the Supervisor’s Office at the Gardiner Maintenance Facility. • The contract includes duct revisions at both the York and Gardiner Maintenance Facilities to create a complete ducted return system. • The contract includes all necessary electrical work, including the installation of new wiring, conduits, and electrical panels. • The contract includes all necessary mechanical work, including the installation of new plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems.
