VIRTUAL TAPE SERVER (VTS) FOR MAINFRAME

The County of Sacramento is seeking a Virtual Tape Server (VTS) for its mainframe. The current VTS is no longer supported by the OEM vendor and its current ESCON channel interfaces are not natively supported on the new mainframe processors. The County intends to award a purchase order to GlassHouse Systems, Inc. for this requirement. The scope of work includes delivering and implementing a new Virtual Tape System (VTS). • The County currently provides tape processing for a variety of mainframe application programs and data backups. • The County has recently upgraded its mainframe operating system to zOS 1.13 and is working on a project to move from its current z800 to a new zBC12. • The County is seeking a VTS that can support its new mainframe processors. • The contract includes various appendices, such as Sacramento County General Terms and Conditions, Additional Terms and Conditions, and Non-Collusion Affidavit.
