9-1-1 Core Services

This contract is for 9-1-1 Core Services, which includes the provision of a Next Generation 9-1-1 system, including hardware, software, and maintenance. The system will provide robust redundancy and eliminate single points of failure, and will comply with all current NENA i3 standards. The contract has a term of 5 years, with an option for renewal. The vendor, Intrado Life & Safety, Inc., has extensive experience in providing 9-1-1 services and has worked with numerous public safety agencies across the country. Key features of the proposed solution include: • A Core Services solution that provides robust redundancy and eliminates single points of failure • A solution that complies with all current NENA i3 standards • Seamless integration with A9-1-1, the current network solution • Installation and migration of the NGCS components without interruption, deviation, or degradation of Pinellas County’s existing service • Comprehensive training to ensure staff is proficient in using the new NG Core Services and additional components • Optional transport solutions, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE), Satellite, and public Internet
