Description
The California Highway Patrol is seeking a qualified vendor to provide 24/7 evidence impound tow and secure storage services for its Alturas Area Office. The contractor will perform light, medium, and heavy‑duty towing, maintain a fenced and monitored impound facility, conduct vehicle inspections, and submit regular inventory reports. Work is on an as‑needed basis with payment based on actual services rendered, up to a maximum contract value of $105,000 over a three‑year period.
• Perform towing of police evidence vehicles (light, medium, heavy) with rapid response times.
• Provide secure, fenced storage with daily flat‑rate fees and optional post‑storage inspections.
• Maintain compliance with CHP security, safety, and reporting requirements, including monthly inventory logs.
• Supply all required insurance, driver certifications, and security clearances.
• Offer small‑business/DVBE incentives (optional) and limit subcontracting to 25 % of total work.
