Description
The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange is seeking two Applications Development Experts to provide technical services for the development, maintenance, and support of enterprise-level applications and custom integrated solutions. The selected candidates will work with the development, testing, and operations teams to set up and maintain the Maryland Health Connection system and other related components. The ideal candidates will have experience with DevOps processes, automated configuration and deployment, and cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS). The contract is expected to start on March 2, 2026, and will have a base period of four months, with two option years. The evaluation criteria will include work experience, training and education, presentation and responses to questions, and price.
• Key responsibilities include:
• Working with development, testing, and operations teams to set up and maintain the Maryland Health Connection system and other related components
• Providing technical support to Application Development teams
• Collaborating with infrastructure and system operations teams to automate end-to-end operations
• Designing, building, maintaining, documenting, and automating technical processes and operations
• Working with other DevOps team members to build tools and automation
• Participating in technical reviews during various stages of software and application development
• Adhering to security, change control, and MHBE Project Management Office (PMO) policies, processes, and methodologies
