Description
The County of Atlantic is seeking additional qualified vendors to provide a full suite of perishable food items for its meal‑service program, which prepares up to 1,800 meals daily. Vendors will quote on 300‑400 distinct items (produce, dairy, meats, baked goods, etc.) and must meet strict HACCP and temperature‑control standards, delivering fresh items up to six times per week and other items once weekly. The contract runs for the calendar year 2027, with weekly purchase orders and payment upon verification of delivery quality.
• Supply a broad catalog of perishable foods (fruits, vegetables, dairy, meats, baked goods, etc.) organized into purchase groups.
• Deliver according to tight time windows (6:00‑11:30 am and 12:30‑3:30 pm) with refrigerated or frozen transport as required.
• Maintain compliance with insurance, affirmative‑action, and various state certifications; provide references if not already on the county’s approved vendor list.
