Description

The Department of Energy is seeking a subcontractor to provide design and construction services for the Nevada National Security Sites (NNSS). The work will involve comprehensive flush and test services for the new cooling water systems piping, as well as the design, procurement, and fabrication of various components, including Cooling Water Distribution Units, distribution manifolds, and Chilled Doors. The subcontractor will also be responsible for providing specialty valves, flowmeters, and sensors, and for installing and testing the integrated system. The ideal subcontractor will have a proven understanding of the interconnected systems and the capability to manage all facets of the integrated effort. • The subcontractor will be required to travel and provide construction services to Mission Support and Testing Services (MSTS) at the NNSS. • The work will encompass design and construction services, including the provision of critical components and the installation and testing of the integrated system. • The subcontractor will be responsible for managing all facets of the integrated effort, rather than fragmented expertise. • The project requires a subcontractor with a system-wide understanding and the capability to manage complex, interconnected systems.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

Based on the scope of work, which includes design, construction, and installation of complex systems, the budget for this opportunity could be substantial. The fact that the subcontractor will be required to travel and provide construction services to Mission Support and Testing Services (MSTS) at the NNSS also suggests that the budget will be significant. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $5,000,000, considering the complexity and scope of the work. However, this is a wide range and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the qualifications of the subcontractor. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size and complexity of the project, the qualifications and experience of the subcontractor, and the level of competition for the opportunity.
