Fleet Towing Services

The Department of Public Works (DPW) in El Paso County is seeking a dependable towing and recovery provider to support its fleet across the county. The selected service provider must meet stringent response time requirements, provide 24/7 service coverage, and ensure all service calls are answered by a designated representative. The vendor will provide towing services for light passenger vehicles, SUVs, vans, pickup trucks, specialty vehicles, and heavy-duty Class 8 dump trucks with attachments. The vendor must also provide recovery services for vehicles or equipment that have left the roadway or become immobilized. Key requirements include a minimum of five years' experience providing vehicle towing and recovery assistance operations, obtaining and holding all necessary permits and licenses, and complying with Colorado Public Utilities Commission rules and regulations. • The contract term is anticipated to commence on December 1, 2025, and remain in effect through May 31, 2027, with four one-year renewal options. • The vendor must provide estimate time of arrival for tow vehicles at the time of phone scheduling and provide priority service status during emergency events. • A dedicated dispatch team capable of taking service telephone calls and dispatching tow vehicles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year is required. • The vendor must comply with all Colorado Public Utilities Commission (C.P.U.C.) rules and regulations.
