Description
The City of Austin (Austin Energy) is seeking a commercial, utility‑grade weather forecasting and decision‑support solution. The vendor must provide real‑time meteorologist support, probability‑based short‑ and medium‑term forecasts, integration with Austin Energy’s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), a configurable web‑based dashboard, mobile access, data download tools, outage prediction, staffing forecasts, and ongoing training and support. The contract is for an initial 24‑month term with possible three one‑year extensions, and includes milestone‑based payments tied to deliverables such as kickoff, dashboard design, testing, user acceptance, and final system acceptance. • Provide 24/7 meteorologist consultation and briefings • Deliver probability‑based forecasts (15‑day to seasonal) with confidence bands • Integrate weather data into ADMS every 15 minutes • Offer a configurable dashboard (desktop & mobile) with alerts, risk graphs, and resource tools • Support data export, GIS integration, and outage prediction • Supply training, documentation, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager • Maintain 99.99 % system availability with defined support levels
