Vital Records Interoperability Project

The Vital Records Interoperability Project aims to establish real-time transmission of vital records data between the Colorado Office of the State Registrar of Vital Statistics and the CDC National Center for Health Statistics. The project requires the implementation of a Rhapsody instance to enable the transmission of vital event data using the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR) standards. The successful Offeror will be responsible for building and testing Rhapsody routes and messages, processing IJE notifications, and providing project management and administration services. • The project has a budget of approximately $250,000 for the initial development phase. • The project duration is expected to be around 1 year, with the possibility of renewal for up to 4 additional years. • The Offeror must have experience in developing Rhapsody instances and working with FHIR standards. • The Offeror must also have experience in providing IT and telecommunications services, particularly in infrastructure support services. • The evaluation factors for this RFP include mandatory minimum requirements, description of services, executive summary, experience and qualifications, cost, and references.
