Description
The State of Maryland is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services at the Edward F. Borgerding District Court/Multi-Service Center. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform daily, three times per week, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning of the building. The contract has a minimum qualification requirement, and the award will be made to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest responsive bid.
• The net cleanable square footage of the facility is approximately 64,050 square feet.
• The contractor must have the ability to speak and write English.
• The contractor must provide a signed statement permitting a criminal background check for each prospective employee.
• The contractor must secure a Maryland State Police and/or FBI background check at its own expense.
• The contractor must provide a company ID badge for each employee while on State premises.
• The contractor must cooperate with State site requirements, including being prepared to be escorted and providing information for badge issuance.
• The contractor must meet the minimum experience requirements and have a good standing with SDAT.
• The contractor must be registered with the Office of the Comptroller of Maryland under the company name that appears on the bid.
• Out-of-state companies must have a resident agent in Maryland.
• The contractor must have a diverse group of subcontractors and suppliers from various MBE classifications to meet the overall MBE participation goal of 5%.
