Extradition Services

The Boone County Sheriff's Office is seeking a contractor to provide extradition services, including interstate and intrastate transportation of prisoners. The contractor must have a ground transportation system that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The contractor must also provide a 24-hour communication system and have staff available during normal business hours. The contractor will be responsible for assuming custody of prisoners, providing security and control, and transporting them to their destination. The contractor must also provide documentation, including written authority to transport prisoners, and must have a system in place for tracking and reporting prisoner transportation. Some key requirements for the contractor include: * Having a minimum of 100 hours of classroom instruction for transport agents * Providing a list of authorized transport agents * Having a system in place for tracking and reporting prisoner transportation * Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations * Providing a 24-hour communication system * Having staff available during normal business hours * Assuming custody of prisoners and providing security and control * Transporting prisoners to their destination * Providing documentation, including written authority to transport prisoners.
