RFP #26-28-LIB CATALOGING AND METADATA SERVICES

The Cumberland County Public Library is seeking a vendor to provide cataloging and metadata services. The vendor will be responsible for providing MARC records for the library's catalog, as well as technical support, documentation, and training to library staff. The vendor will also be required to provide a test account for the library's staff to trial and review. The library is looking for a vendor that can provide high-quality records that meet the standards outlined by the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC). The vendor will be evaluated based on the number of bibliographic MARC records that meet PCC standards, as well as the cost of the service, the user interface, customer service, and additional services offered. • The vendor must provide bibliographic records that meet PCC standards for materials including print, audiobooks, video, and Spanish language materials. • The vendor must provide a cataloging interface with the ability to create, edit, copy, and validate bibliographic records in the MARC 21 format. • The vendor must provide technical support, documentation, and training to library staff during initial set-up and ongoing. • The vendor must provide a test account for the library's staff to trial and review. • The vendor must provide at least three references for which the company has provided services to similarly sized public libraries.
