Description

The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide food and beverage vending machine services for the District One Employee Benefit Fund. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to three years. The vendor will be responsible for providing a wide variety of high-quality foods and beverages, including healthy, low-fat, and natural items. The vendor will also be required to supply products for two separate locations, including the District One Headquarters building and the Bartow Operations Campus. The vendor will be responsible for restocking machines at least twice a week and providing an adequate supply of utensils and condiments. The vendor will also be required to respond to machine failures and out-of-stock items within one business day. Some key points to consider: • The vendor must provide a minimum of 15% commission on sales of all products. • The vendor must provide an itemized monthly statement of gross sales per location. • The vendor must provide certification that food handlers have taken and passed any required food handler's examinations. • The vendor must require all employees providing services to have successfully completed all required health examinations before being hired and periodically as may be required by law. Some benefits of this opportunity include: • The chance to provide services to a large and established organization. • The opportunity to offer a wide variety of high-quality foods and beverages to employees. • The potential for long-term contract renewal. However, there are also some challenges to consider: • The vendor must be able to provide a high level of service and respond quickly to machine failures and out-of-stock items. • The vendor must be able to provide a wide variety of products and meet the changing needs of employees. • The vendor must be able to comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to food safety and handling.

Budget estimate

$30,000 – $50,000

Based on the information provided, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget for this opportunity. However, we can make an educated guess based on the scope of work and the requirements. The vendor will be responsible for providing food and beverage vending machine services to two locations, with a total of approximately 450 employees. The vendor will be required to provide a minimum of 15% commission on sales of all products, which suggests that the total sales revenue could be significant. Assuming an average monthly sales revenue of $10,000 per location, the total annual sales revenue could be around $240,000. With a 15% commission, the vendor could earn around $36,000 per year. However, this is just a rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on various factors such as the actual sales revenue, the cost of providing the services, and the level of competition. Therefore, the budget estimation for this opportunity is between $30,000 and $50,000 per year.
