Description
This contract awards a two‑year, $484,000 ceiling HVAC services agreement to a qualified contractor who will provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems on Caltrans‑owned facilities in Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties. The contractor must hold a current C‑20 Warm‑Air Heating, Ventilating and Air‑Conditioning license, maintain a physical office within the service area (or within a 60‑mile radius of a maintenance station), and cannot subcontract any portion of the work. All labor, equipment, tools, travel, waste disposal, permits, and incidentals are required to be supplied by the prime contractor. The agreement includes annual preventive‑maintenance visits, 24‑hour response for emergency repairs, and full unit replacements when repair is not cost‑effective, with strict response‑time and warranty requirements.
• Provide full‑service HVAC labor (journeyman level) and all associated materials for routine and non‑routine tasks at six designated maintenance stations.
• Must respond to service calls within 24 hours and complete repairs within 48 hours; replacement units must meet or exceed existing capacity/efficiency.
• Contractor must submit required licensing, DIR registration, insurance, and bonding documentation, and comply with prevailing‑wage, safety, hazardous‑material, and organic‑waste regulations.
