On-Call Construction Management and Inspection Services

The City of Ontario is seeking a qualified consulting engineering firm to provide on‑call construction management and inspection services for public‑works projects. The contractor will act as the City’s construction manager, handling project administration, schedule and budget monitoring, submittal coordination, field inspections, and final close‑out documentation under the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM). The agreement is an on‑call, three‑year professional services contract (with two one‑year renewal options) with a not‑to‑exceed ceiling of $4.5 million; individual task orders may be firm‑fixed‑price or hourly. • Provide full‑service construction management for capital‑improvement projects (e.g., roadway, utility, traffic signal, and landscaping work). • Perform on‑site inspections and compliance monitoring for all City‑funded construction activities. • Deliver monthly progress reports, weekly meeting minutes, and final electronic record sets for each task order. • Must comply with California prevailing‑wage rules, maintain required insurance, and be registered with the DIR for public‑work projects.
