Description
This Caltrans Invitation for Bid seeks a qualified contractor to provide full‑service inspection, preventive maintenance, testing and repair of diesel, unleaded and E85 fuel tanks at eight Caltrans facilities in Orange County. The contractor must supply all labor, equipment, tools, parts, permits, travel and incidentals, hold a valid Class A General Engineering Contractor license (or ICC certification), maintain DIR registration, and comply with prevailing‑wage, safety, environmental and insurance requirements. The contract is estimated to run for two years, with a maximum ceiling of $484,000, and includes annual testing in February each contract year. No subcontracting is allowed, and a 100 % payment bond is required for service requests of $25,000 or more.
• Perform annual inspections, preventive‑maintenance service, routine and non‑routine repairs of fuel tanks (diesel, unleaded, E85).
• Conduct required annual testing of tanks (static decay, vapor‑return‑line, etc.) and provide written estimates for major repairs.
• Provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, permits, travel, warranties, waste‑disposal compliance, and maintain required insurance and bonding.
