Invest Atlanta is seeking qualified partners for two distinct but complementary roles in Atlanta's municipal grocery market initiative. The first role is for a retail operator to develop and operate a full-service grocery market in a Priority Community, providing affordable and healthy food directly to Atlanta residents. The second role is for a food distributor to supply grocery products to one or more municipal market sites through wholesale distribution, fulfillment center operations, or last-mile logistics.
• The retail operator will be responsible for the complete development and day-to-day operations of the market, including physical buildout, staffing, merchandising, customer programming, and ongoing financial management.
• The food distributor will be responsible for supplying fresh, frozen, dry, and specialty grocery products to municipal market sites on a scheduled, recurring basis.
• Proposers may respond to one or both tracks, and the proposals will be evaluated independently.
• The proposals should include information such as organizational profile, technical approach, pricing model, community and workforce plan, and risk and mitigation plan.
