The Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board is seeking a qualified vendor to digitize roughly 1.3 million historical documents (≈ 57,000 folders, 8,418 inches of file space) and provide full‑service scanning, indexing, on‑demand retrieval, secure shredding, and logistics support. The work includes pickup and transport of boxes, removal of staples/bindings, 300 dpi PDF scanning (greyscale/bi‑tonal/color options), image enhancement, quality control, indexing by SSN last five digits and name, and delivery of searchable PDFs on external hard drives. The contractor must also retain boxes for up to three months post‑conversion and respond to special file requests within four hours, providing five free requests per week.
