The project involves stabilizing and reconstructing the toe of the slope supporting Basin 8 at the Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant. Work includes extensive earth‑moving, keying and benching of subgrade, compaction, placement of fill and rock rip‑rap, and restoration of an access‑road asphalt pavement, together with all related site‑work, drainage, and environmental controls as detailed in Specification 2097. • Excavation, grading, and compaction of existing ground to re‑establish toe geometry. • Installation of rip‑rap, erosion‑control blankets, and fill material to ensure long‑term slope stability. • Reconstruction of the slope‑access road with asphalt pavement, tack‑coat, and traffic markings. • Full compliance with California prevailing‑wage, SBE/DVBE participation (minimum 25 % of bid value), and required performance/pay‑bond guarantees. • Project must be completed within 270 working days after notice‑to‑proceed, with liquidated damages of $460 per day for late completion.
