6 Month Janitorial Service at Mary E. W. Risteau DC/MSC

The State of Maryland is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services at the Mary E. W. Risteau District Court & Multi-Service Center located at 2 S. Bond Street, Bel Air, Maryland 21014. The contract term is for 6 months, starting from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and required supplies to perform daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, and annual cleaning tasks. The facility has approximately 87,593 square feet of cleanable space, including lobbies, offices, corridors, lounges, restrooms, and other areas. The contractor must provide a full-time janitor between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to work under the direct supervision of the Facility’s Maintenance Supervisor. The contractor must also provide an on-site supervisor who will be available by contact or phone at any time the janitors are performing. Some key tasks and their frequencies include: • Emptying trash and recyclables daily • Cleaning interior glass and mirrors daily to weekly • Spot cleaning building surfaces daily as needed • Cleaning and disinfecting water fountains daily • Spot cleaning lobby and courtroom furniture daily • Refilling paper towels, toilet tissue, and liquid hand soap daily • Cleaning and disinfecting basins, toilets, urinals, and sanitary napkin depositories daily • Dusting all horizontal surfaces weekly • Dusting vertical surfaces weekly • Buffing all tile floors bi-weekly • Vacuuming all carpeted areas weekly • Vacuuming floor mats weekly as needed • Waxing all tile floors bi-monthly • Refinishing all resilient tile floors annually
