Bed Tracking Support (RFI #25-071)

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to improve the State's capacity to track the availability of inpatient and crisis stabilization beds. This effort supports the Behavioral Health Community-Based Organized Networks of Equitable Care and Treatment (BH-CONNECT) Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver. The RFI aims to gather information from potential vendors on their ability to provide a bed capacity data solution that can integrate with existing county and state-level data systems, ensure seamless data exchange, and provide real-time bed availability data. The solution should be able to support the timely connection of individuals to appropriate levels of behavioral health care. Key aspects of the project include: • The ability to track bed capacity in real-time • Integration with existing EHR systems • Ability to provide data on bed availability across facility types • Support for stakeholder engagement and policy guidance development • Ongoing operational support and maintenance The DHCS is looking for a vendor that can provide a comprehensive solution that meets these requirements and can be implemented by December 2026.
