Data Center Network Refresh

The University of Kansas is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a turn-key deployment of a modern, resilient, and scalable infrastructure data center network. The project includes design consulting, hardware, software, implementation, and training services. The goals of the network refresh project include simplifying the architecture, enhancing system stability and redundancy, increasing speed and throughput, and enabling automation for more efficient operations. The project will be conducted in two locations: Price Computing Center and Ellsworth Residence Hall. The vendor will be required to provide a dedicated project manager, a project timeline with milestones and regular status updates, and comply with relevant standards. • The project includes design, installation, configuration, testing, and training. • The vendor will be required to provide a comprehensive audit of the current data center network and develop a design for the new network. • The vendor will be required to provide a detailed project timeline and milestones. • The vendor will be required to provide training and documentation to KU IT staff. • The project will be conducted in an operational environment, and the vendor will be required to minimize disruption to existing network services.
